okay i know this swap has been done so imma start to do mine. i already have a b20 motor in my civic now i want to go vtec mode haha. what are some problems that im going to encounter knowing that the pistons on the b20 is a little larger than the smaller brother the b18 so will the valves and the piston hit if adjusted too much on either intake or exhaust side. what is the best way to approach this thanks.

you using a b18 or b16 head?
the problem is usually oil pressure or oil leaks, every single one I have seen fail was because of those two things. The rest is easy to modify to fit or easy to find parts that work together correctly.
but we also need to know which head cause they have different combustion shapes.

If I am correct you are talking about the same thing as a ls/vtec. There is a great article in the recent project car mag. It has a gang of pictures and info. You should get it.

im planning to use a b16 head the car right now is running a stock b20 head .... also it it true that the b20 cams sucks and the b18 cams are better

which magazine is that

A mate runs that set up in his race car, Hes got Endyn hybrid pistons to suit the B16A/B20 setup. The only problem he had was oil leaks from the head gasket as the B20 block profile is slightly different to the B16a head but he fixed that, make sure you use the hybrid gasket not a standard B16a gasket.

so what headgasket do you suggest u should use?

Do you have problems with reading comprehension?

which magazine is that

Project Car. He stated the name of it, did he not?

Once again, it was stated. Use a hybrid one, i.e. one made for a B20/VTEC setup, and not just a normal B20 gasket...

Hey I have a b20z2 that I am going to put a b16 head on it. Do i need to to replace the pistons and what other things should I get to make sure everything will fit perfect. I know I need to do a hybrid head gasket and a pil return line.
