I want to completely redo my del sol. I dont know where to begin, can you give any pointers? I have a b16a3.

rip apart the block and head have the block honed and ship the head out for port and polish if your going build the engine but if your rebuilding it you can just get the block honed, then replace all the bearings maybe pistons and rings all new seals and depending on how bad your head is you can replace warped valves or any thing like that or if the head is warped you my want to get it milled down and resurfaced. you can buy full stock rebuild kits there around. just search around.

Thanks, I just came across about eight grand. I am wanting to redo it and then eventually turbo it. thanks for the help. If you have any more suggestions feel free to share.

rebuild motor, well refresh it, buy a turbo kit, get some rims / tires or just tires, and some better breaks and have fun :)

speaking from being prior military....save your money. just save as much as you can. don't blow it.

dont' spend $8k on your del sol. save for when you get out or when you want to buy a new car or house. better yet, save for school. it's the best advice anybody will give you. ever. period.

I live in seattle now.

really, if you want to fix up your car, get a b16 or b18 swap, GOOD suspension, tires, and brakes. you can get it all for about $4500. you don't need to go all out.

I just remember when i got out of the military, i wish i had saved more money. i bought a bunch of bullshit. fixed up my car to the max, and was living paycheck to paycheck. now that i save better and have money in the bank, i can do whatever i want. i don't have to wait for bonuses or tax returns. i'm hitting vegas this weekend for 4 days, just because i can. i couldn't do that before.
