ok i sold my 97 lude about a year ago ..i bought it with a blown auto and did a 5 speed conversion"(lots of work :) but i loved it...i sold it for stupid reasons but anyway.i dont have the cash to get a 97+ now i dont thing ...so i was wondering if anyone could tell me some pros and cons of the 92+ vs the 97...ive never driver the older gen and was just wonder if anyone has owned either and what they liked best ....i loved my 97 but i do love the look of the 92+ also

Well, other then looks, they're pretty similar. Some of the H22 that your fifth-gen had, but not all of them do. In terms of suspension they're pretty similar as well...

4th gen preludes (92-96) can swap struts/springs with the 5th gen non-SH preludes (97-01)
i think the 4th gen is lighter in weight, but i'm not positive on that.

yes 92-96 is all OBD1

They kept the 96 Prelude OBD1 while all their other cars switched to OBD2 that year?

EDIT: Honda kept the 96 Prelude OBD1 despite the fact that the government mandated that all cars sold for the 1996 year had to be running OBD2? Methinks you're full of shit...
