I was wondering..... I have a 2000 Civic hatch and I found an engine at my local auto wreckers. It's a B18B1 from a 2000 Integra, 5 speed (S80 tranny), axles, ECU, harness, starter, alternator, distributor, everything between the pan and the valve cover. Would this be a good candidate for my civic? What would be a easonable price for this?

Lol, I'm getting impatient about my tired D series. I've had the car since brand new and now it has more than 230,000 km on it. Ive got new plugs, distributor cap, wires, fuel filter, air filter, injector cleaner and it has no power. I've done a compression test (dry), and all cylinders are between 340-350psi. It still has the stock exhaust and cat on it. I'm thinking the cat is plugged. But I don't want to buy a new exhaust system for it as I wan't to swap out the D with something better.

Ok a few specs: 0-60 mph = 8.5 seconds. 60mph -70mph in 5th gear: 6.7 seconds.
That's how gutless my stock civic is now :(

i have a b18b1 in my 99 civic coupe it's not bad but if you've ever driven a b-series vtec your always going to be wantiong that vtec to kick in
but it's still a good swap more power is more power the b18b1 is a lot more torque then your single cam

Motor rebuild

I have a b18b1 from a 94 acura swapped into a civic dx

Ive got some head work cam work new ignition headers etc....

the motor is stripped from the car was going to be rebuild but never got around
any tips on how to put it back together

Iam swap a B18B1 into my 98 Hx. I got mine for $800 came with motor, head, trans, axles, harness and ecu. Has 60k miles on it and came out of a 99 Integra. Dont spend more that $1200 for a B18B1. You will need 99-00 Si rear T mount, AC mount and the timing belt mount. NOT the rubber mounts the brackets that the mounts bolt to. You may need a cat from an Ex or Si depending on what motor your car has stock.

i have a 94'-95' b18b1 block / head lying around all stripped. No tranny. No idea to do with it yet. Planning on boosting. So i'm gonna get it resleeved maybe to 2.0L. And as far as any other parts, i need your guys help in building this bad boy.

Lmao! This thread is one worthless bump after another.
