I'm looking at this 1994 CX hatch. I could probably get it for $1500-$1800

1994 Honda Civic West Shore: Langford,Colwood,Metchosin,Highlands, Victoria

I've always had an EF. I have no idea what EG's are like.

I would def put my Mini-Me into it, which would be super easy but I would probably need to buy an EX/Si trans to make the gearing nice, right?

Then the clutch needs to be replaced, would an EF 89-91 clutch fit? Because I have a nice Exedy one for an EF.

Would any of my DA Integra brake parts fit on it? Booster/master or the 40/40 prop valve?

And how do EG's handle compared to EF's?

The only reson I'm looking into this one is because I'm looking for an easy way out of bodywork.

Thanks guys.

you'll need a hydrolic tranny, and thus clutch for a hydo tranny.

da brake parts do not fit. the ppv will with some line bending, but its probably not worth it.

egs are nice cars and a huge improvement over Ef's IMO

I know it's a hydro tranny (that's why I said ex/si tranny).

What major differences are there between CX and Si EG hatches?

This next paycheck I'll have about $1500. If the body is good I might offer the guy $1500 without the stereo system.

Also, do EG's have glass headlights? Ironic but it is a deciding factor for me.

Will DC brake parts fit on it?

At an auto wreker near me they have a 1992 sedan EX-V. I got my Z6 head off of it. It had rear discs on it, would they fit?

headlights are plastic. i think every civic is. there are retro fit kits for better lights out there though. canada might have differences there, but they don't exist in the us.

most dc parts fit. other eg parts will fit too.

ex/si means nothing, as there was an ex/si in eg's as well :)

cx is BAREBONES. nothing. power nothing, no rear wiper, no a/c, no sunroof, not even interminent wipers.

si has everything. power everything, a/c, rear wiper, etc etc + a nicer intereior.

1500 for a cx in good shape is a fair price if the miles are decent as well. bill paid 1500 for his in 2002... but values haven't really changed much since then, and i'm pretty sure you're talkign about CA $ too, not US, so thats like 1300 US.

Are you saying there is a EX EF? There isn't in Canada. There isnt a EX EG in Canada aswell. I just say it to fit in with you 'Mericans.

EF's have glass headlights which are nice, they don't fog up from the sun.

Are there any suspension differences between CX and Si? I know there are in EF's.

yes, ex ef is a sedan.
ex eg's are coupes.

i'm not 100% sure on suspension differences. It might be a little stiffer on the si, but either way, you're likely going to want to replace both of them with something better.

The EFs and EGs have glass headlights, EK is when they went to plastic. And if you get the EG you can sell me that center garnish for the EF, yes? :D

You're right....sorry. I was thinking EF all wrong.

All EG's are 92-95???

But I remember the EX 4 doors for EF's

Si for the Hatch and CRX

In his discription it says "Apexi Coilovers".

I would get my dad to take it for a test drive first.

And yes I would ship you that center garnsih Byron.

both my 92 dx hatch and 94 del sol si had plastic lights. :shrug2:

i think you just got an odd ball. my 93 dx and 94 ex have glass as well as all my friends civic's
