I have a 99 civic ex d16y8 i believe would it be worth taking a f22 out of a 97 accord and put it in my civic. would the gain be that noticeable the accord is not road worthy the back has been smashed and will never be driven on the road i was thinking about the swap the accord is a non vtech

the f seriers have a lot of low end torque but are not a favourable motor. You will sure be unique

why are they not favourable motors and i take nobody does a f22 swap in 99 civic so is it worth it

I wouldn't say that they're "not favorable", just not really ideal for your situation. To swap an F22 into your Civic you'd need to follow the same procedures as you would for an H22 swap (aftermarket mounts, a bit of fabrication, etc.). It's not a bolt-in process like it would be with another D-series or a B-series. If you're just looking for a replacement engine for your civic, I'd stick with something in the D or B families...

i want my civic to be faster and i already have the f22 but if its not a sanifacint gain its not worth it

I would only say that it's worth it if you have all the mounts, you have a transmission, and you can fabricate things yourself. Otherwise, not worth it for an F22. I wouldn't spend the money on it unless it was an H22 that we're talking about...

i would have to buy the mount there about 100.00 i can fabricate and i do have the tranny but if its not a huge difference ill just keep my d16
