I go back like Aqua Net.
So today I was talking with one of my co-workers about cartoons we grew up watching. I started explaining He-Man and Shera and original GI Joe ( not this new japan looking influenced shit) and fraggle rock. She literally had no idea was I was talking about so of course that made me feel like ancient in modern day times. I was wondering what some of your favorite cartoons growing up were!

The original Looney Tunes. I was sad when they took that off the air.

Kids now a days are gettin shafted for good cartoons.

agreed.. original Looney Tunes > all .. i remember getting up Saturday morning as a kid and watching cartoons half the day.. i get up Saturday and see the cartoons they have now, they suck more than a $5 hooker

I DVR all the oldschool cartoons for my son. I wont allow him to watch the bullshit they have on TV now adays.

Well I bought thundercats seasons and fraggle rock seasons at best buy recently. I refuse to let it die. Also I have some old VHS tapes of Silly Symphony ( i think) where the like musical instruments would battle each other with crazy music lol. Its really old.

I do agree kids are getting shafted on good cartoons but its cause of all the hype about how violent cartoons were back in the day and the influence it had and well you can get that same type of shit on everyday tv now in live action form and the news so what was the point?

Tom n Jerry, and Roadrunner were my favorites. To this day I love anything with that type of humor.

All of these, Voltron and Thundercats being my favorites!

Plus all the 80's 'mini' versions of other shows that the tv execs were going to town with back then... Muppet Babies, Flintstones kids, Tom & Jerry kids, even Tiny Toons falls into that category to an extent.

Even in the 80's they were rehashing old shows! It's not a new phenomenon. :)
