new 02 sensor, still code.

I got a new 02 sensor, didn't touch the end of it or anything like that, yet when I take my car to get it ref'd it still throws a code 1. Even though when I turn the car on it wont be on, it came on when they were towards the end of their test. I think the ref said something about at the high idle test or some shit. Any help appreciated.


Was looking at my car. There is no CEL but it throws a code 1.

Even if you replace the defective parts, the ECU may still be storing the trouble code. Try disconnecting the battery and letting the car sit for a few minutes, then reconnect the battery, turn it on, and let it idle for a while. That should take care of it...
