You need to be a LOT more specific about what you want to do before anyone's going to be able to help you...

Is this a total swap, or just a head? As far as cost goes we may be able to tell you the cost of the parts if you plan on doing it yourself, but if you are going to have a shop do it your best bet is to call a few up and ask them. And yes, it's VTEC there is no H, this is a sore spot for alot of tuners.

for the cost of a new engine and putting it in expect to pay anywhere in the 1500 - 2500+ range depending on the engine swap. For that money you can put a turbo kit and freshen up the block with pistons and forged rods on your b7 and REALLY gain some power.

sorry bout that h, well i am open to any suggestions to anything from what series engine to whether to do a complete swap or just the head. and me and a friend plan to do this our self on our free time, we would like to get the car running good.

Some guys love SOHC....but

I say LS swap in the CX

no extra wiring for VTEC needed

Swap is about $1500-2300 (OBD1 or 2)

Great torque increase and fun to drive (especially in comparison to CX motor)

But if you're confident in your electrical abilities...Integra GSR ot Type R

Much more horsepower.....and VTEC...duh

But thats at least a thousand more ($2K more if its type r)

So it depends on a lot of things.....money and ability mostly

I agree with with cafrog.. LS is a good and inexpensive swap.. And its a good foundation for a turbo kit.. You could get one with the money you'll save in not doing the VTECH swap.. Although a GSR or Type R motor would b great in that EG..
