hi guys im looking into buying a 93 civic si hatch that has a d16a6 block with a y8 head. the car kind of feels like its choking at the low rpms but then clears up a bit as the rpms go high. the guy told me it was because the a6 needs more gas than the y8 because of the a6's lower compression and therefore now its getting too much gas. he said a fpr will clear up the problem. is this true? if it is, what fpr should i get for it? and how easy is it to install? tia

This is false. For the most part most honda fuel systems run around 40 psi, and I'm willing to bet that the a6/z6/y8 are all the same being single cam 1.6 liters putting out simmilar power. What ecu is running the setup? I'd also check your timing and for any vacuum leake.

I would check your distributor timing if I were you before you put money into a FPR, those things are pretty expensive IMO. As 99sidude said, you should check for vaccumm leaks too.
