im dreading this day were i have to choose between the two cars.

so heres the story.. i still have one year of highschool left..
im trying to get a car where its reliable where it can last for good amount of time... i also want it to be my 1st project car... the thing is ive been saving for a swap for either car and want to boost it... i want it to be street legal-ish and not make it way too fast.. but enough to be a sleeper? if that makes sense.fun in the streets and on the track... i want yall opinions of which to get... i always wanted to get a del sol.. but a 2 seater limits the amount of peeps in my car.. the ls in the other hand isnt..
i also want to know yall opinion on the type of swap for both cars...

Del Sol; i was thinking of a b18 or h22.. i dont want to spend too mmuch so i was thinking of b18 swappp and add on with the etc...i want power!!!!

Integra; LS/VTEC cause off the mulahh im saving....but how much work would it be for a k20 swapp

ahhh im soo confused........... i always had a passion for tuners... and finally the day comes where i get to pick my first baby to drive around with.. i appreciate to those who reply.. i joined the site in hope to join a community of enthusiest and slowly build that family type love.. in the future i hope to learn alot and help pass knowledge to others just coming up in the gamee.. yahh diggg

both are reliable
both are worthy platforms
either one is plenty fast enough to get your young ass killed
the del sol is always more of a sleeper than an integra... mostly because its a "chick car"
do you mean real track driving (with turns and shit)??? or this straight line bullshit???

if you want to be the taxi for all of your friends then the del sol is not for you

both are about identical as far as swapping goes (other than needing a del sol VTEC shift linkage) a B18 is pretty much a drop in on a del sol, an H22 is a bit more work, you cant afford to do a K swap (in either car)

regardless you should be focusing on learning how to drive before you think about swapping anything

you will probably be happier with an integra
get a stock one
learn to drive
make your first mods ones that make your car safer:

  1. driver
  2. brakes
  3. driver
  4. suspension
  5. driver
  6. power
  7. driver
in that order

if you go out and turbo your first car right off the bat, without learning to drive, learning to listen to the cars feedback, and learning about concepts like "time and place", you are going to wrap it around a tree/telephone pole/rock/jersey barrier/other car/etc... and likely kill or cripple yourself... with any luck you wont kill or cripple an innocent bystander or 3 of your friends when you do
 
There is a reason why E has so much rep. Its because of posts like that one.
 
Integra all the way. sexier, comes with a b18 (great motor, very versatile), isn't a chick car, has a back seat for friends, bigger cargo area incase you need to haul stuff, just better all around. Would be a great car to have.

The del sol is very limited.. one passenger, almost no cargo room, no versatility at all.

are you going to college or anything? if you have a job and don't need to save, by all means, spend away.

i would go with the teg. get the b18 already, has power options, ac, etc. turbo kits are easy to find/build.

del sol with a b18 c1 built because there a nice touquie motor and the a reliable platform that or go lsvtec thats my .02 oh not to bash h22a or there drivers but there unreliable and boat anchors no offence im not thread jacking or hating im just stating my 2 cents so dont bash my comments please

not bashing, "but". h22's are reliable. mine is very reliable, and fast. i am just assuming this: you have never owned an h22;you dont know alot about them;doesnt matter what the engine is if it has been built correctly then it will be reliable and fast too. if its a giant shortcut and halfsteped build then it will be very unreliable. this theory of mine applies to all builds.
 
H22, B18, or K20 can all be made to make good ammounts of power or can be built shitty and suck. It all depends on how you build it
 
go with the del sol, that way you will only kill one of your friends and not 3 or 4

No, they're not. They're just as reliable as the D and B-series engines. If you experienced an unreliable H22, then somebody probably did a piss poor job of building it or didn't take care of it...
 
why is it that i hear all these people say that h22's are not reliable? they clearly have never owned one!!!! they are experts in shit they have no idea about! this kid bashes the h22. then says dont bash me for bashing h22's when he has no idea what he is talking about!!!! douche bags!!
