92 civic si d15b
so im trying to sell my delsol.
decenctly built, y8 block z6 head
brand ass new everything
few stupid little mods, nothing major
my car is at like 160hp maybe weighing in at 1900lbs
its maual.

i said my car will pull on gt mustangs 350 camaros, and it pulled on my friends 327 swapped ford ranger. i know it will beat theses cars because i have raced them and won.

but dude emails me and is like you said you car pulls on all these cars, well my friend has a b16a3 swapped in his 93 del sol (now im not a dohc man but the a3 is like 25hp stonger than a z6, right?) and he cant even come close to beating a mustang gt.

so i was thinking 160 to the wheels in a 1900lbs car vs. 260 to the crank in a 3500lbs vehicle... that about doubling the weight...

i thought it was funny, you might not.

3500 lb Del Sol? Thats one chubby 2-seater.

I doubt B's old Del Sol weighed that much even with him and his entire crew inside. . . . .

Just a simple bolt on mod, E. You simply remove the D series and bolt on an 8 cylinder.

Oh and your rep power is 420. P4us3 4 teh cawz, dawg. That sentence makes my gay look big, doesn't it?

isn't 1900 lbs still sort of light for a delslo?
i thought they were heavier than that
and 160 to the wheels? from a sohc?

i don't see a sohc pulling on any GT mustang unless its got a snail

edit <- 15K

the z6 comes stock with 125 to the crank, with a maual that about 120 to the wheels.
and e sol i ment couldnt.
and phyregod, i thought it was funny if you dont then your dont have to say anythign thanks.
gt are not fast, despite what people may think, i pulled on a gt with the glass pack exhaust thing (so stock...) easy, they arent fast, i pulled on my ex's 350 type lt camaro, my ex's brothers built 305 camaro, and another buddies 327 ford racing engine swapped ranger.

del sols come from the factory 2200lbs, well the si did, the sticker on the door says 2975 (i beleive but we weighed it on the dyno.

okay, im gonna have to call shenanigans...

you really thought that the civic engines only had a 4%power loss between the flywheel and ground?
wow, you should do some more research guy.

ok well sorry.
we dynoed my car and its 154whp with 137ft/lbs torqe. TO THE WHEELS
weighing in at a total of 1913lbs

my stock accord pulled on a mustang gt till I hit (missed) third. they're a high end car, not out of the hole. that's like a civic vs a cadillac. the civic is gonna kick the caddys ass until the piston meets the side of the block and the caddy putts by doin 140 runnin 1500 rpm. 305 is a pos motor even built, chevy 350 is like the mustang, and unless its pre-1982, anything sub z28 or ss model came with a 6 cylinder. 327 ranger isn't a 427 corvette.

Not true. My 1991 Camaro RS came with a 305 V8.

Yea, it wasnt a whole lot more than a boat anchor but it made good torque. The 02' SS rearend with 3.42 gears i threw in it sure livened it up though.

My heart is stuck on a 1st gen anything.

Anyway back to the topic at hand, I thought Del Sols weighed more around this much...

1993-1995 Del Sol S = 2,295 lb (Manual) 2,387 lb (Automatic)
1996-1997 Del Sol S = 2,302 lb (Manual) 2,388 lb (Automatic)
1993-1997 Del Sol Si = 2,414 lb (Manual) 2,474 lb (Automatic)
1994 Del Sol DOHC VTEC = 2,491 lb (Manual) ''Automaic N/A''
1995-1997 Del Sol DOHC VTEC = 2,522 lb (Manual) ''Automatic N/A'' 1995-1997 Del Sol SiR (Japan Only) 2,491 lb (Manual) 2,535 lb (Automatic)
