In Germany the base model gets a 100HP 1.4l engine. Mated to a 6-speed transmission.

Of course, it also gets 40mpg.

EDIT: Oh crap, sorry, it's a 100HP engine now.

I'm going to sit in a dark corner and pet my crx until honda figures out which way is up with the civic business.

I do love my element though. Slow like whoa, handles like shit, but it looks cool.. And it really is a great family car. Beats the shit out of a mini van, lol.

I was going to get an element, until I drove one. Holy crap it sucks. But, you can fit a cbr600rr in the back if you compress the front fork, and take off the mirrors. :D

I hate the new civics. They've been turned into a mid-size car, not a compact.

Its a kid hauler. A bullet proof kid hauler. Seats are waterproof, floor is plastic.. They can't hurt the damn thing. I have no problem handing them a bag of gummy bears.. The shit will come out. And it goes the speed limit. Thats all I need out of it.

It could get better gas mileage though.

doesnt hurt that the whole interior can be cleaned with a water hose either.
love that.
my friend has an element, roomy as hell, would love to have one just for the amount of interior room it gives you.

I can sit comfortably in the back seat and stretch my legs out.. And I am 6'4". It is very roomy.. And with the kids buckled up, they can't kick the back of my seat! fucking win!

A guy I work with borrowed the department element and brought his streetbike back from michigan. I was told that they actually designed the car with the intention of fitting a cbr 600 inside. Personally the element is one of my favorite hondas. It looks good (with the body colored fenders), and is so damn practical. Too bad they never installed the k23 turbo motor from the tsx for the sc model.

Honestly, with the suspension setup, you wouldn't want that kind of power. It would be like the kids who put a 500whp b18 into an 88 civic with the original suspension.

yeah, the suspension is the worst.
my friend lives in florida, flat straight roads for the most part.
she came up here and i drove down some of our nice curvy hill filled roads, holy shit, worst suspension ever, it borders the same experience as driving an old chevy monster suv feel.

Exactly why I prefer the Odyssy over the Element.

eh, buy some coilovers or just a better suspension in general and you may have a winner, could also use some bigger wheels though.
