Now, I know most of you don't care, but I think this is huge.

Y! Sports exclusive: Kimbo gets TUF - MMA - Yahoo! Sports

1) he is going to get great coaching. guys who know what is up and that have been champions. they will get the best (whatever that may be) out of slice.

2) he's a ghetto hoodrat freak and will make for great tv

3) he's going to get his ass beat up by the coaches.

4) he will have to win 4 fights just to get into the UFC.

This is great for tv, ufc, the fans, and for kimbo. wins for everyone.

well, good for him
i think he worked hard at building himself to where he is today
a real grass roots type of marketing campaign to make his name recognized
well done if you ask me

He's got heart but no gas. You see him against Thompson? (that U.K. dude) They both looked like drunk fighter by the second round

He had Bas Rutten coaching him and he is one of the best...hands down.

Ding-a-dee Dang-ga-dee Dang

And I don't think he owns that...the guys he was security for owned MILF hunters and other Internet Porno labels. This is how he began having his street fights put on video...at least from what I know.

there was a spelling error in that article.

Kimbo has always been a bad mofo with very heavy paws.. It'll be interesting to see how he does against some very quick, very tough people.

yeah, he gets gassed now, but have you watched TUF? they will get his conditioning up.

Did you see his fight against Gannon? It was before he was in UFC and had time to bring his stamina up. Even then, he still gets tired quick. His best bet is to make it a quick one.

As far as the "controversy", seems like it was more of in his favor. Plus, that's nothing new.

He lost against that cop (Gannon)....he almost got choked out but he entourage started bitching that there's no submissions. And then he lost even more gas.

He does have heavy hands....but who doesn't at that weight class? Chuck Liddell, who's smaller, fights at 205...he was on that show "Deadliest Warrior" where he punched a bag that was hooked up to a computer. The Engineer said he had never seen anything close to the numbers he produced. So they all can punch hard.

We'll see what he does. I am not too impressed thus far. At this point, I see more hype then anything

Well, there's a difference between heavy hands and fast hands(push vs. strike). Heavy hands won't necessarily knock someone out, but gives the person the ability to hit through blocks, knock them around, etc.

People with faster punches are capable of easier knock outs, inflicting pain in one area, etc. I forgot who they interview(might have been Kevin Randleman) but the consensus is the faster punch is more dangerous than the heavy punch. Bruce Lee has some theory on it too I believe(strike vs. push).

I believe Chuck's punches are way more effective than Kimbo's. Kimbo's punches just put on a greater show. With gloves on, that all changes of course.

I've only played the demo, but must agree, looks very good! Much better than the last MMA games that have been put out.

Its really good. Its got a good control style. Even the ground game is pretty good. Not just push this button and this move happens like a lot of other games. You've got to work your opponent into a situation to make the move. And even still you can work your way to a counter if you're the other guy. Knock outs can come at any time as theres no traditional "health bar" as much as a stamina bar that can be regained with time or lost quickly if youre just pummeling your opponent. More realistic than I though it'd be

i think it will be a little different on here. he has never worked as hard as he is going to have to work now. he had hired coaches and "yes men" before. now they are going to be knee deep in his ass to perform.

they aren't disclosing the rest of the cast yet. i bet they have some good fighters on there. filming starts today and airs in september.
