So ive been lookin for days on whether or not an SIR hood will fit on a USDM crx. Do i need the one piece lights AND the bumper to fit the hood on. Or can i bolt it right up for the time being before i buy the rest of my conversion. I have a buddy who can trade me his one piece lights if i need those, but the bumper is expensive right now.

So it is possible to just use the JDM hood with a USDM bumper and lights, with little to no fabrication as possible?

yes it will bolt right up but it will look funny because it will have gaps where the headlights are.
 
Aaahhhvtec is wrong!!! Haha ! No it will not fit you need the jdm cross bar thingy that has the hood latch in a different place.
 
Ive read that thread a few times now, but it doesnt fully stand and say YES or NO to me.

Seeing how AHHVTEC has more posts/rep and age on their side, im gonna have to think he's right.

Oh but like i said, i can get the lights if i wanted them, but wont they not fit in a USDM bumper?

Well i have an SiR hood on the way, and i its gonna have to fit, so i really hope someone can bring an answer to this.
 
location of the hood latch will be off. this is because the front crossmember is designed a bit different for B-series motored SiRs, so you will have to modify the hood latch (on the hood) and move it towards the firewall about .5" or so.

How do i do that with carbon fiber?.....
 
is this a aftermarket hood, where did you get it
 
the reason i ask, is some like vis ect ect, make sir style but have the latch in the right location for the usdm crx so it might be best to ask the ppl you got yours from if the latch is in the jdm or usdm location

Ok well hood came in, i had to adjust my passenger side wiper to allow the hood to come up. Still working lining up the hood with the fenders. The one problem im dreading is fabing some up so the hood latches up. I noticed the hood hangs over the T-bar a bit much. Anyone has any ideas, please speak up. Otherwise i will be documenting my progress as it comes along.
 
u have to put washers behind the bolts on the t bar to move it forward and u have to cut the lip off the hood latch and move it all the way forward it should bolt up fine then. had the same problem putting it on my ef and after this i got it to fit perfect using a usdm latch. the tabs u bolt the hood up to may also need to be modified by makeing the hold larger so u can move the hood more forward
