That's what I'm talking about!

Thats some serious riding. I'd be embarassed to show my chicken strips. But in my defense I wanted a solid season before I really pushed it. So its steadily widening.

Clean your rims!

That's nuts! I've got 3k miles of FL roads on my tires, not much I can do about my chicken strips unless I go to a track or fly up and down some iffy residential area =/

Not my bike, that's the dudes front tires, he said he took that after a track weekend.

I'm close to 3K miles on my rear (190/50/17) and its about time to replace. chicken strips don't stick around too long on my bike =)

I really need to get into some track days. Get some real trustable curvy stuff to play on.. I do some fun stuff on the street and back twisties but a track would be a hell of a good time.

Ohio has some nice ass roads. Car and Driver do a lot of tests in South East Ohio. But out here in the area of Chicago I'm in it blows. Straight roads and gravel in the corners. Theres a decent ride this weekend. Q101s Sherman's Rocket Ride. Last year there where 1000+ sportbikes but this weekend is supposed to get a shit load of rain:(

I could also use a track day when I have a few extra bucks and time.

Pretty much every state has a nice place to ride except here =(. Well, northern FL is nice. Cool thing down here is being one of the very few sport bikes to just cruise up and down along the water. I like to go alone on Sundays and ride with random bikers that let me in with them until I get bored and go look for another group. I'm the only 09 I've seen around here and have a pretty distinct colors so everyone seems to recognize me. Same guys are always mean muggin' as I ride by and give them a hardcore salute lol. I can usually find the same 3 or so groups that I'll cruise with for a bit. You get cool guys and you get assholes, but it's all fun and games to me until I get a lock thrown at me.

I have a very twisty road near here, which is pretty rare for central texas.. The pavement is iffy and you really have to know the road and gravel spots to do hard riding on it, but its 15 miles from my house.. I found a loop from road to road to road, all back roads areas with no traffic.. 40.7 mile loop that is half twisties (20 and 30mph corners and some light elevation changes..) and then you turn onto a different road with incredible grippy clean pavement that has long sweepers and straight-aways until you get back to the starting point. Best lap times are 22 minutes on the bike, and 27 minutes in the rex. Of course, I limit my speed to certain numbers on the second half of the lap because it is in good enough shape to pull off some insane speed. No need for that on straight aways.

I didn't quite get that far, but I definitely put some serious side wear on my GSXR before I bought it new shoes.

I hit one road called chuckanut drive, which goes along the ocean on a cliff, and is super windy, on a daily basis. It was the reason I bought my bike, and will be the reason I buy my next one.

Keep your ass out of N.E. then. Is that where all our odot staff is? Down south?
My Buell is about due. I'm about to trade up to my old man's sportster. I'm gonna make a rat bike out of it. Its gonna be kinda hard to do without the money to do a hard tail, but I'll do a build thread if you guys are interested. I know you're all anti harley, but it's the best i've got right now.

NEO roads suck. I'm surprised my wheels are still all on my car.

Sportster is the only one I care for.

Oh. OK. Yea from what I saw they do. I still want a VRSC. Sportsters are really nice as well.
And I for one would like to see the thread.

I'll get there! I suppose if/when I get old and want a cruiser, I'll look into a knuckle. I love knuckle heads. I'd like a WLA or WLA clone too. Now I'm all about sleek and sporty.
My old man raced a VRod once. Beat him, but that sportster put up a hell of a fight. Its got screamin eagle pistons, lifters, exhaust, high output ignition (First time I rode it i was like "WTF? no tumblers?)
If you're not careful, it'll put the wheel off the ground in second gear. Just ask my mom.

Sounds pretty sick, but I dont just want the VRod for speed. Its just soooooooooo F'N sexy. Especially the NightRod (no homo)

I don't mind the VRod, The only thing I don't like is it's a non-traditional engine, what made by porsche and all. I like a small bike. That sportster is great, the only complaints I have is it needs a smaller horn, and I need to find a smaller air box. The horn gets in my way, and the airbox is off right now b/c of a stripped hole on the box. my knee smells like gasoline.
I don't wanna paint over it, but then again, I don't want to get a whole new fender and tank.
