ok so i was shopping for a kriega backpack for my bike and found one at an online store. was going thru the checkout and they have a spot to enter a coupon if you have one. so i go search some more and find a coupon code for this site. put it in, it work saves me some money, and i checkout using paypal. get an email from the site saying thank you for your purchase and gives me the total i paid. ok im thinking alright, i make a good buy here. get another email back saying i need to pay the difference from the coupon because it doesnt apply to the backpack?

has this happened to anyone here before? i say if the coupon works when you check out it works. is it my fault the site accepted the coupon?

yea, that's a bunch of bs
 
tell them to refund you the full payment, and that you will be contacting the BBB regarding this, as well as bringing your business elsewhere
 
Bait and switch.

If they're a legitimate business, they will honor the original price.
 
gave me refund and i tried to sneak it in again. same thing happened, they refunded again. i asked them why the coupon even allows a customer to checkout showing the coupon working. he told me it wasnt for the product that i was ordering.
"I have no way of restricting a coupon code to one product. I can limit a coupon code to a number of uses, or restrict it to a certain dollar amount but this leaves a loophole that someone can improperly use a coupon code. Fortunately, all orders go through me so if a coupon code is used improperly I will catch it."
