think my starter is going.....i love 2009

So my car barely turns over...sounds like the starter needs to be replaced.....it just barely cranks over......can't find jack shit on the Inet on where the fucker is located......nothing on the Audi Forums..though i made a post...

i dont want to take it to the dealer cause..well for obvious reasons, they will nail me for 500-800 dollars....i can get the part online for $150....

Anyone have ideas where this fucker is located.....jfc i hate 2009 so fucking bad..i really do....

should be on the tranny somewhere, close to the motor..

check your charging system first
autozone will do it for free
just make sure your battery is good and your alternator is charging it properly before you buy a starter

It'll most likely be under the engine. jack up the car and look for a roundish looking thing sticking out from the back bottom side of the engine near the transmission.

edit... thats vague, but I don't know audi's.

ok well it's the battery.....i let my car run for a half hour and re-cranked it and it started right no up problems....if it keeps happening i will get a new one.... i have a VW guy who lives in my condo complex he said the VW batteries suck ass....

glad its only the battery... anyways.. for future reference, this is what an Audi starter looks like

and yea.. pic above is for ABS
