Im going b20vtec soon and collecting parts that I will be needing just to make the car run. What head studs shall I use for this build? I have an ARP b16 head studs but this head is a SIR II JDM, they should be the same right. What ecu can I run? Last, do I really need to use that b20 block with b16 ARP head studs? I think they are different part numbers compared to the b16 ones. Also did anybody ever hear about the vtec conversion kit made by Blackworks. Is that produuct okay to use.

For the Vtec swap use the head bolts for the head you are swaping. The SiRII head is the same basic head as all B16s. Never heard of Blackworks before. I would do with the Blox or Eagle Vtec conversion kit. Comes with head gasket, head pins and Vtec oil lines. The best ECU setup to use would be a Hondata S300 or the cheaper S100 for tuning reasons. You can also just use a OBD1 B16 ECU, its runs the B20 lean but makes more power due to this( use 91 octane or better).

Thanks. So ive read so many articles about it and they said to use GSR but then I already have the b16 head studs so mite as well use it. For the ecu thanks again, so a b16 ecu would do but makes the car run rich. I already have bad gas mileage on hte stock b20 right now why is that?
