hey im new here and have spent quite alot of time browsing the forums and still cant find a reasonable swap for my 94 2dr civic i hav about 4000 to burn and want ur opinion on wat swap i should do i was kind of thinking goin b series like a b18b or b20b but idk exactly how much that would cost in the end soo could someone direct me to what i should buy and do.

how much would that cost and how hard is it to do i hav basic tools and basic air tools i want to try and avoid taking it to a shop and just do it in my garage

Easy swap.
Get the whole swap (motor, trans, alt, dizzy, ecu, axles, shiftlinkage)
Your '95 civic....is it an EX, DX, etc???

You should use the harness in the car or go buy a D16Z6 harness.
Check out my signature link for pics on my swap (its almost the same as a GSR)
Search the forum for FAQ's about the swap

You need to run VTEC to the ECU (if your car is non-vtec now) and a knock sensor
(or run a chipped p28, etc to eliminate need for knock sensor)

my car has a d16b7 non vtec in it and the head gasket blew at 137k i replaced the head gasket intake gasket and exh new head bolts timing belt exc but when i try to tourqe the bolts to spec they strip out and i hav given up hope on this motor since i figure the last owner overheated the s#!t out of it since it had a underliying head gasket problem soo my new route is replacing the engine

also its a 94 honda civic dx 2dr 5 sp to answer ur other question

You can use the harness on that d16b7 but you'll use the clips for VTEC and VTEC oil
pressure on the GSR swap harness. Just run lines from these clips through the firewall and
to the ECU (and the knock sensor too) These all get plugged into the ECU with the OEM
clips that go into the plugs that actually clip into the ECU (get the donor pins/plugs at a
junk yard right at the ECU plugs...just give yourself some wire and chop them out)

GSR mounts are good enough and Hasport works.....
just a little stiff for my taste (and current hp lol)

hmotorsonline.com are honest. I bought stuff from them
Depends on the state you live in to where you can/should go

now the b18c from hmotoronline r those usdm or jdm ?

also when i pull/ drop the engine should i go out the bottom or thru the top of the engine bay

JDM motors

Take the motor form the top with a cherry picker (unless you have a lift?)

lol i wish i had a lift but i can rent a cherry picker for 35 bucks a day at the local route 12 rental here

now wat in terms of hp and tq does the b18c lay down and what mods can i do to it that wont blow the bank and wont blow my new motor

JDM B18C is about 180 crank hp and around 130 trq

I would get OEM dizzy cap, rotor, valve cover gasket (after you check valves)
timing belt, water pump
(or at least look at them all and see what needs to be replaced)

a GOOD header will get you around 12-15hp
Exhaust and intake amybe another 10hp
and nice stage two clutch/resurface the flywheel/OEM throw out bearing

You can do the swap but it'll be close to the $4K mark after you replace stuff and all that

heavy! Look into some eat coast or canadian JDM dealers

We have reputable importers that post their prices/inventory in our for sale section. Why the fuck does no one ever look there?
