Hi,

I just wanted to know what you guys think about my turbo setup. I`ve got almost everything together except for a t3 turbine housing.

Stock B18C6
GT28RS
Synapse ramhorn manifold/downpipe
Tial 44mm wastegate
HKS ssqv bov
Precision 660cc
Precision 750hp intercooler
Skunk2 68mm throttlebody
Skunk2 pro intake mani 68mm
Hondata intake gasket
GM 3 bar map sensor
P28 ECU
Digital Boost Controller Apexi AVC-R
Aluminium Racing Radiator 1/2
Skunk 2 megapower RR 3" exhaust
Fidanza flywheel
ACT Stage 1 clutch

Going to run 0,5 bar of boost.

Goal 300whp

Stock ecu? And 300whp might be hard with those injectors IMO. My goal is 450whp and the smallest injectors i could get was 780cc. Thats alot of power on stock internalls is this your dd?

Stock integra ecu = P72

It will be tuned with ECtune.

300whp requires 620cc @ 80% duty cycle. So 660cc is plenty for me.

Yes, its going to be my dd. I think it will handle 300whp just fine. Stock GSR motors run fine on 8psi with about the same whp. So i think it wont be a problem.

300whp is alot. Not saying that it cant be done, just saying to make it reliable even with a good tune you need a built bottom end. I have a boosted jdm h22 in my prelude. 780cc,-7cc dish pistons, eagle h-beam rods and more.... I am only pushing about 270whp. I will be pushing 450-500whp when i do a few more up grades and get a ramhorm mani. I am only pushing 9-11psi boost. I could turn it up way higher but i am going to wait till i beef up my cooling sys. And up grade a few things. I want reliable hp.

The B-series have stronger sleeves and the head has good flow. The tranny is good aswell. I think it`s quite safe as long as i keep boost to 0,5 bar and not getting it run too lean.

Your right about realiability, the engine is in perfect state now. If the engine holds it for 2 years im satisfied because by then it will be rebuild.

Seems like high goals with stock bottom end and daily driving.

I could see 250 whp DD....so thats about 300 crank hp. I think its touchy to get to teh 300whp mark but you could prove me wrong. I might be wrong but why does the TB and intake seem HUGE for this desired hp? Or is it you're trying to increase the volume and lower the pressure of air coming into the intake manifold?

I have learned"the hard way" once you get to 250-300whp. You have to up-grade just about everything to handle the hp. And making it reliable and fast is that much more of a challenge. Nothing on these cars that is stock is made for that much hp. I have a stage2 cluch as of now. And i will need a new one that is stronger when i re-tune and turn up my boost. Imo. People dont understand how fast 300whp really is in these little cars. Thats fucking scary fast imo. Anything abouve that and no traction w/o further mods.

I will be losing a little bit of power in lower rpms but the turbo is rather small so it will make up for it. It would have been wiser if it was a little bit smaller.

imo, your power goal is not unreasonable at all. in fact if youre going to a competent tuner(and i have to assume u are due to the higher-end parts list), 300whp should be pretty easy to find. however, on a stock bottom end, at that output, expecting to get 2 or more reliable years as a dd is kinda foolish.

what kind of mileage will u be putting on it daily, and how much of that are u at wot?

Im looking for a spare b16 or b18 bottom, so i can build that and still be able to drive. When its done ill just swap bottoms.

If you are comfortable taking it out, spending the $$$ and switching bottom ends....
no big deal....run 300 tuned whp and have a blast!

where do you ppl get your info from??

660cc is more than enough to hit 300whp...i made 350+ using 550cc its all in the tune and a good fmu or fuel pressure regulator..

spend the extra $$ and get some pistons n rods if you like your car..you dont even have to get any of the fancy names unless your gonna go over 350whp..

about 9-12psi shoud hit your goal ..

and believe me 300whp is very fast in a integra or civic..enough to land you 12sec with a half decent set up

i ran my stock b18c1 on 12psi making 360whp, on 10psi i was at 310. just get a good tune and a good turbo setup.

my stock ls turbo worked great for 6months at 12psi making 380whp then i turned it up to 18psi and made 426hp and it bent a rod a week later
