Meeeeooowww!!!!!
I'm having problems putting a 92 civic hood on my 95 do I need 2 do some mods?

ok then.. what problems are you having?

could be the carbon fiber is tweaked. is it a brand new hood or is it used? also, has the car ever been in an accident. it could have a bent core support.

It's used and never been in any accidents.. But I think the carbon fiber might be a Lil warped cause it's sits closer 2 the fenders on the passenger side more then the driver side..

Well...color me stupid but did you ADJUST IT? Is this your first BBQ? You need to fiddle with
the mounting points of the hood....and maybe the fenders too. Your car been in an accident? Or
maybe the other car it used to be on was in an accident (before the hood....duh...I can read)

Its called checking your gaps. Sorry to be an ass but if all you did is based on all you wrote...you
haven't done really anything. The gaps need to be the exact same all the way down each fender
and the gaps on each side of the hood need to be even too. There are adjustments on the
hood....left fender...and right fender. Mess with them all to achieve even body lines.

Most of these stupid carbon fiber hood shut like crap too. I see so many guys rolling around with
a hood that takes them five minutes to shut 'properly'......and we wonder how we hear of Civic
owners who's hoods fly up on them down the highway.

only way i'd ever run a CF hood is with hood pins.. that way i know it wont fly up..

but i'm w/ CAFROG ... you need to adjust it.. cant just bolt it on once and have everything line up...

Aftermarket has a lot of fitment issues to boot, OEM is by far the best. Good luck though!

I messed with it a little lastnite and did the best I could in the dark but I'll mess with it some more and adjust the fenders and see what happens and I'll give you guys and update if I have any problems doing so..

Yess this is my first BBQ.. And you guys recommend hood pins 2?

Always :) Hood pins are so nice, tho i kept my stock latch cause of theifs in the area lol, but also I would look into fiberglass :) I love em, tho some here may no agree with me

Wax? Talking about the finish getting dull? Re-Clear coat it. You can use rattle can clear if you don't have a air spray gun (in a controlled environment)

Wet sand it down (at least 2 diff grits) to take out imperfections and then spray the clear on in Multiple coats (like 4-6 super light coats) then you can wet sand once more (lightly and high grit) then maybe 2-3 more light coats and see if you need one more round of sand/clear but it could be good to go at that point.

I ran hood pins on my old CF hood, but i didnt have the hoodlatch on it, hood was used so it was missing. But the hood latches were keyed and one malfunctioned and caused my hood to open at 60mph, and by malfunction i mean yes i did lock them, but part of the latch itself broke... the part attached to my core support.

I have a new CF hood now with a workin hood latch, but i dont want to defile the hood with pins. Though it would be safer.

Though when i get around 60mph i get nervous that this hood will do the same thing. It sucks.
