friend of mine baught a 95 dx hatch, it has stock 1.5 in it with multi point fi. it started this jerking in lower rpm's, like in between 2-3k, it runs great other than that and it dont do it all the time.. the engine lights also on and when he hits the brakes the cruise controll light comes on..?? also whares a good place to hook the tach wire at?(the one that reads rpm's)

Codes would be nice? also I would try checking the fuel filter, my coupe used to jerk like a MOFO and it was a simple cloged fliter spraying too little then to much ect ect haha

i dont know how to read the codes... dont i cross over 2 of the ecu pins or something like that?

yes jump the 2 pin connector with the key on and count the flashes (check engine) light there maybe short and long flashes. I think there is something on how to check the codes in FAQ

Long flashes = 10/20/30/40 etc
Short flashes = 1/2/3/4/5 etc

The long and short flashes will be spaced by a brief "pause" in the flashing, then a longer "pause" if it begins to read another code.

Ex.

2 long flashes "pause" 3 short flashes = Code 23 "pauuuuuuuuse"
4 long flashes "pause" 1 short flash = Code 41 "pauuuuuuse"
0 long flashes "pause" 9 short flashes = 9 "pauuuuse"

Meaning your throwing codes 23, 41 and 9

Understand?
