If i lower it say 1.5 will i need a camber kit or is this some thing that can be adj with an alignment? Would anything else be needed besides strut/coils?

you could simply just buy some coilovers and it'l drop. and be adjustable 2-3" up and down. they are nice to have when you want to be low...and even better when you want to raise back up. you'll most likly need a camber kit...but as far as a 1.5 drop. you should be fine with the camber kit.

you can get some good springs for that amount. you dont' really need coils if you aren't going to adjust them.

you shouldnt need a camber kit with a 1.5" drop. just get some nice springs and shocks, it will be like a whole new car.

adjustable coilovers are not so you can keep raising your car up and down... they are so you can corner balance your car
if you are not going to corner balance your car, get springs you will be better off

word. + rep for giving good advice

Yeah no fancy adjusting, just going with straight lowering coils, its just a daily driver, no racing or anything. Thanks for the advice! Didnt want to have to make multiple orders if i didnt have too.

absolutely

you should get an alignment after fucking with any suspension components

Just curious, is there a difference between the front and rear springs? The sol has always sat a bit lower in the back compared to the front.

yes the front and rear springs are different. they have different rates. im sure after you install all new springs and shocks the car will sit nice and level. your old suspension is probably well worn.

I am deff hoping so. didnt want to have to order diff size drop for front and rear., easier to to just order a set.

I am going to run the stock ones for right now. Last week i ordered a set of new strut mounts and are in the process of extending them, that way i will still have original springs and mounts if i ever need them.

I am also wondering if i should only do the front and wait on the rears, right now i have 3 in gap top of tire to wheel well in front and 2 in on the rear. If i just do the front it would be level and if i did the rear and the original coils had sagged then it would be setting too high in the back?
