1800 Lumens, 20W draw, smaller than a pack of cigs.

As soon as I figure out where these are going to be put on the fit, I'm buying 'em.

A 100w incandescent house lightbulb is ~1700 lumens.. If you concentrated that light forward, you're looking at some pretty damn bright lights. By comparison, a 6D cell Maglight is only 162 Lumens.

But $350 each is a little steep!

They're brighter than Hella rallye 4000 lights, and hella 500 lights.

A standard 100w landing light puts out about 1400 lumens. A single hella 500 light puts out 1200 with fresh bulbs, a 4000 rallye puts out something like 1500-1600 with fresh bulbs.

These have a 10deg beamwidth, so it's a little wider than a pencil driving beam.

Here's a comparable LED landing light, just to give you the idea of brightness.

ledheadlamps.com has been selling dot legal replacement headlamps for jeeps and others. Saw it in the Aug 09 Four Wheeler. Very nice, polycarbonate lens, completely contained and has own harness, just plug it in and done!

Yeah, see, I don't have a jeep, or even a place to put 7" headlamps on the Fit.

patience, they will be releasing more models, probably not for the fit. I believe they are trying to cater to the sealed beam crowd, cant have everything. I am sure that this is only the begining.

dang, im thinking of those as a damn good backup/reverse light lol

Not sure, I'm gonna play with the print-out templates tonight and see what works.

Easiest would be on the upper part of the lower grille, but that's also pretty tacky. I'll figure it out tonight or tomorrow.

I'm going to buy the fog-light harness, switch, and pigtails, then power them on that.

In MD, the fog lights or any auxiliary lights have to turn off when you turn the brights on. And I'd rather have a nice, clean installation.
