Problem is, most people on the forum own a C300 or an older C class.
The #1 thing I see is people trying to make their C300 faster yet they want cheap...
why not buy a C350? oh that cost too much....
Just keep in mind, most MB drivers do not get on internet forums. Most people who want a MB or are able to buy a cheap MB get on the forums....

Yeah, I know. Everyone wants their 300E to go faster, and only spend $2000 to do it. It's the same everywhere, even on this forum. (just not a 300E, it's a 94 civic DX)
Problem is with MB, it's a status symbol, no matter how cheap you get it. Only the people who keep theirs in good condition know how shitty the shitty ones are. When I was in Germany, everyone would buy a shitty BMW or a shitty Benz when they got there as a "beater" car. Problem was, upwards of 20 americans had owned this car before them, and rarely changed the oil, and drove it like a beater. People would change the spark plugs after 200,000 KM, and rave about how it felt faster. They'd post on the BMW forums about it, and then some shit would get started about how "these special plug wires made his car faster".....
Shitheads drive old german cars, and don't buy new ones because "they cost too much."

fuck they plug wires! they were 150 for 4 of those fuckers. im glad I had the 4 and not the 325. I do miss it like hell though... I cry myself to sleep at night thinking about it.

right, sorry. I had a 318i. it costed me $150 for 4 plug wires. the 325 is the I6. it probably would have cost me over 200. I miss that damn car. very much.

lack of cash flow, and if I was gonna buy a 3 series itd have to be a late 80s or early 90s. mine was a 91. last year for that body style.

I feel ya on that. Being unemployed sucks arse. I did good at my interview today though, so hopefully I won't be jobless for much longer.
