Hands Off my Balls
simply put, I wanted to know what the difference between a regular prelude (97-01) and then the prelude Type SH. All that I am aware of is that the Type SH has a different style of suspension or shocks.... something on that order. I am under the impression that there is or should be significantly more changes than that...

copy and paste Type-SH also has a revised front suspension to allow much more caster with the Type-SH suspension over the base suspenion.

Type-SH has slightly harder spring rate compared to the base springs. NOT interchangeable between the two.

Door lights!

Header collector is longer to accomidate ATTS

Exhaust is 2-3" shorter (rough estimate) at the cat connection to accomidate the header differences.

Type-SH rear tray, no 3rd brake light. Spoiler light standard

Type-SH oil filter different location on the block compared to the base.

Base tranny and Type-SH tranny not intechangeable

Type-SH cams (helms spec) slightly more lift.

yada yada yada...

There's more but it all has to deal with just ATTS.

ok, does the change result in more whp because of the header changes?
new tranny (auto or manual?) it must be better, but why?
and i was right about the change in the springs and suspension.....

and what the hell is ATTS?

No, like he told you, the changes are to accommodate the ATTS. Power output is exactly the same as on the base model...

Both are available. It's better because of the ATTS...

Don't be lazy, look it up...

Thanks, so in reality, besides the ATTS and the accomodations for it, the only difference is the springs and suspension which results in better control.

so saving 2gs on the base model is a pretty good way to go? and if i wanted could i install ATTS on the base model later?

Yes, but even those changes are meant to accomodate the ATTS (which adds a slight bit of weight to the front of the car). And no, I would not recommend trying to add ATTS later. You'd end up spending more then 2 grand collecting all the parts and installing it. You should decide before you buy a car whether you want it or not...

what ones came with the 4ws? i saw a couple of videos of ludes having them and just remembered bout it, does sh come w/ it or is that a different model? i guess its supposed to be really rare but i wouldnt mind havin it
