In my own little world!
Now after we have gone threw the car, replaced the intake with a actull Filter, and flushed all the fluids... Trany, Motor, and Rad. The car seemed to run a bit smother, tho we can't pin point a problem, but listen to the motor as I do a Quick 1/4, as the motor climes in RPMS seems like VTEC kicks in but hardly any kick at all, mite be its a D15B but my D16Z6 seemd to have more with the same P28 brain

VTEC shouldn't be a *kick* like people want it to be. There should be a smooth transition both leading up to the dynamic VTEC point, and away from the VTEC point.

The only way I can tell VTEC has kicked in on the Fit is by engine noise, throttle response, and fuel consumption. :D The ramp up is smooth, and after it "kicks in" it's smooth. It just feels like I'm in the center of the power band.

I think the "vtec kick" is a myth created and perpetuated in the minds of people that wish their hondas were as fast as they think they are.

I think mines a 16sec car lmao, u know HOLD ON NOT DONE ACELERATING haha... anywayz, i was just making sure the VTEC was normal, in my H22 SIR its Like BAM were going faster lol, been driving that 1 to much this week, tho its not road legal yet, need doors, a sun roof and a windshield and hood

lol, I had a D16Z6 and it was gradual as well... its just me going from a 220 BHP DOHC motor, to a 140 BHP SOHC motor lmao, gunnna be slightly diffrent

my buddy has a acura cl v6 its like a 06 and it is smooth but you can feal vtec alot.

My A6/Z6 is pretty much like that but a bit better because of, (I think), the higher compression and my Y8 intake manifold. I love the throttle response with the Y8 manifold.
