I have a 93 5 speed EX that needs another transmission. I have a 97 Prelude 5 speed laying around. Will the 97 trans mate up correctly and work? I can't find this info on this site or google. Also, are the gear ratios similar, or will the car become uninspiring to drive?

Thanks,
Dan

Thanks for the replies. What clutch and pressure plate should be used when installing the 97 Prelude trans to the 93 Accord flywheel? Also, I had a 98 Prelude and I know they had a much higher rpm range than the 93 Accord. I suppose I'll go through each gear sooner, since I'll be up in the rpm band sooner. I'll probably be in an higher rpm in most gears than normal, and highway speeds will be a higher rpm too.

Does anyone have a chart showing the gear ratios for each transmission?

Thanks Again,
Dan

Check the reference section here, I'm pretty sure there's an article on gear ratios...

I checked the reference section and did find some info about gear ratios..............except for the 90-93 Accord. Unless I missed soemthing, it's not there.
