Hello guys i don't know about your self but when i comes to trying to get that crank pulley off my 00 civic SI to replace the timing belt it can be a bitch with out the proper tools, well i was looking on the internet and i found the tool on eBay there wanting me to pay any where from 45 to 50 bucks after shipping for this little tool, I was like WHAT? you got to be kidding me there's no way i am paying that much for something I'll probably only going use once so i did some research took some measurements and with some help of of this cool web site i found "link will be at the bottom" i decided to make my own tool considering i do have a welder but i don't have an air compressor capable of taking off that bolt with a impact gun, anyways i went down to my local hardware store after taking some measurements and stuff and i picked up me a 1 1/2" threaded pipe adapter with a hex flange on one side i picked that up for 3 bucks and something and i went back to my house and i had this 2" wide by 2 foot long quarter inch steel i drilled a hole in one end of it and i welded my adapter with hex flange up and welded all the way around it top and bottom after that i cut it off the piece of steel i had and it made the adapter square after that i cut me off a piece 2" wide by 3" long of the 1/4" steel and with the hex flange facing down and clamped down on one side of the square part i welded the 2x3 inch steel vertical off the top of the adapter after that let it all cool down and try it out you don't have to use a breaker bar or nothing cause the 2x3 inch steel should lock the pulley in place on the frame of the car so is as easy as sticking it in the pulley and cranking on the crank until it locks in place then you just brake the bolt with a breaker bar and your home free.

Total cost
3 to 5 bucks for adapter and rest is free if you have a welder and some metal laying around. theres also ways you can make it also with out useing a welder but may cost a little more but still very very cheaper than buying one from honda or something check out the link provided below.

Badass. Building your own tool kicks the shit out of vatozone. A welder should be the first tool anyone buys.

1000ft-lb impact wrench. BBBRRRRR wheeeeee, done. ;)

impact gun works good for me every time! a little heat never hurts on really tough ones. if you dont have an impact gun and your going to use a pull bar instead of buying the high priced holder tool just buy a vice grip chain wrench! i love em they work good for holding all kinds of differnt things!

buy a mirage. the crank pulley bolt loosens and falls out on its own over time :X

my local auto zone or advance did not have the tool by the way. and i didn't want to drive 30 min to the next auto parts store. i just wrote this thread just cause i was bored and pissed that the tool cost so much that you can make one that works just as good for less than 10 bucks if you have a welder if not it my cost as much as 15 to 20 bucks not for sure for the T and pipe. heres some pics
