What do you guys think of the new Twin Turbo AWD 3.5 V6 SHO 365hp and 350tq? Does't seem to bad with a base price of $38k and $44k loaded with front and back cooled and heated seats, voice active nav, collision, multi contour seats, rear view backup camera etc..and $20k less then the way less powerful 268hp 258q MB E350 4matic

Car and Driver or Motor Trend says its too big, too slow, can barely even tell the power is there, no exhaust note to be found. If you want it for a performance sedan I'd wait to see what the aftermarket comes up with first. Wouldn't hurt to test one though and see what you think personaly.

well its suppose to be big, its in the Audi A6, Infinity M45X , Acura RL, Lexus LS460 class

Impressive numbers, just saw the commercial today actually.

yea they're saying since they already have the fusion to fill its old spot that's why they went with it. still here's a funny pic.

I would imagine there is atleast another 50hp and 60-80lbs of TQ in that car with tuning

Jalopnik says it doesn't handle though. It's basically a base-model with bigger wheels and a better engine.

Easily I would guess. Since they're saying its so quiet my guess is its all corked up. Get some good air to the engine, play with the fuel maps, and push some more boost in there and im sure you could hit low to mid 400s.

for the price point, i think the genesis sedan is the winner.

no, but awd isn't important to me at all. hell, i might be the only one on the board with all of his vehicles being rwd :)

i can guarantee with tuning and a better flowing intake and exhaust it would be quick as hell..
how isnt a TT v6 quick>?

Nothing like buying a car that other cars in the same price range (like the 335) will put it to shame in all ares from build to driver feedback. Yet its ok because with extra money I bet you could make it fast....

American cars companies have always love the spec sheet, they will put in so many damn cool features that sound great, I believe the old granprix even had a HUD offered.... yet they always fail hard with pulling any of the features off.

Chances are this car is nothing more then a piece of shit that looks good on paper.

Ford you want to do something special? Make a Focus AWD with a 2.0-2.4L turbo motor making 280-300hp Make it get 25+ highway MPG and offer a 100K mile warranty. It also better pull at least a .92 on the skidpad.....

People looking at one of the above would never even step foot into a Ford showroom to look at a Taurus.

Maybe a Lincoln, but not a Ford. At 40 grand it seems waaay overpriced anyhow.

I've been in my share of Lincolns....

I'd never touch a lincoln VS any other non American brand luxury car. At least not if I'm looking for a luxury car.

understood, but the SHO in an AWD class, the Gensis is not in the same class and people wouldnt be looking at it as an option...it would be people looking for the AWD option cheaper then the Luxory named brands with the same options...

Thats like saying people looking for a BMW 5 series or MB E series wouldnt stop and look at a Genesis, which i dont think is the case

I was happy when I heard about it, I loved the 1st/2nd gen SHOs. The 3.4L V8 ruined the 3rd gen, Ford quality built into Yamaha engines (in japan no less) that would break apart under acceleration. No thanks.
