removing a engine

im trying to get my the engine out of my 86 honda civic idk if i should take it out with the tranny or just the engine?

1.) you can easily search the site to find the info you need.
2.) take it out with the tranny on.

Tranny on, grab the trans hook on one side and use the empty hole on the back of the head for the right side. This will help keep the engine close to level when pulling. Leave more slack on the transmission side of the cahin so it comes out at a angle. 86' are cake to work on....

here is one of the better methods ive seen

Removing the "bitch pin" without using a hammer


the other method is to get a 6mm pin punch and smack at it with a hammer until the pin pops out

i like that! thank you so much. so simple. usually have the right tools .... last time we didnt, ended up having to buy a new bitch pin...ruined the old one lol.

M6 threaded bolt and a hammer. Use the wrong size punch or screwdriver and youll spread it, making more work for yourself.

Called a bitch pin for a reason...
