Do you text and drive?

Well if you're not a fucking moron, you should be able to safely text/talk and drive. I've done it for years, and I always put more effort toward driving than the phone.

I'm sure I could talk and drive at the same time, but honestly, I don't want to. I'd rather enjoy driving my car than listen to someone over a phone.

i piss my friends off, or anyone that i'm riding with for that matter, by taking their phone the first letter they text in response. only one of my friends i will let talk because he keeps it brief to about 3-5 seconds to tell them he'll call them when he's not driving, it's usually his girlfriend.

other than that, nobody in my family is allowed to text or talk whilst driving.

end of story.

touching video, well composed.

i do.
but when texting i dont look at the phone. i take glances to read their text then i respond while keeping my eyes on the road.

i dont just stare at the phone while trying to drive. thats retarded.

lol no joke demon. i rephrase my previous, in saying that i let the one guy talk/text, because he doesn't look at the phone while he's texting, just to read responses.

bleh that took forever to type, glad i'm not driving.

Hell no, that shit is dangerous! I only browse Honda Swap while driving! And sometimes I check my myspace. People are depending on me to update my status!

I only text while not driving. I used to not text at all but lately I've started it. I tried to text once or twice while driving, taking breif glances at the phone and keep concentrated on the road. but even then, I tend to drift around. So after that, I stopped texting and driving. I'll answer my phone (beep beep) but even then I keep my self concentrated on what I'm doing. Even if I have to ask them what they just said a couple of times because I'm focused on driving.

But good video. More teenagers should watch this video to understand what they can end up doing. My ex texts and drives all the time, and it pisses me off. No matter what I tell her, she still does it.

ive txt while driving and that shit is hard as hell..i hate txtng and talking on the phone while driving..

After actually watching that, why the hell weren't they wearing seatbelts?

occasionally if its important enough... other than that.. i'll wait till i'm stuck at a light

I enjoy driving while....driving. I like to hear the nice hum of my car, instead the hum of a nagging girlfriend, or someone calling me to complain about something. IMHO I hate people that start texting while they're driving me around. My life is in their hands, don't kill me because suzie wanted to know how much the new gucci bag was. Or even talk while they're driving. I'm constantly correcting people in their driving while they're talking on the phone or something like that. I notice a huge difference in driving when someone is talking on the phone, and half their concentration is aimed at the conversation, and not the car next to them that they're edging closer and closer to.

Ever notice how if you're talking while going up an onramp you tend to stop talking while you're looking and checking the lanes for other vehicles? Thats because you're using the same part of the brain to concentrate on the road and talk. You can do one or the other.

It's a simple matter of common sense to put more attention to the road, just use your goddamn common sense and stupid shit like whats in the video will never happen.

There have been quite a few times where I'll be mid sentence with our office manager (the one that is no longer here), and just stop talking. She'll think I hung up on her until I'd finished concentrating on having to switch lanes or after I check for traffic before making a turn.

I don't talk or text while driving. It's just my personal choice. I feel like I could handle either of the two while driving, but I just don't like doing it...

There is a study out there that says texting while dirivng has been shown to be more deadly than drinking and driving. remember that.

ie, if you're more l ikely to crash and die/kill someone when you're texting than you are when you're drunk behind the the wheel.

damn, I had to slow down my driving to watch that vid...

Awesome...

on the same note, ever notice how you turn the music down when trying to find a new place? going down a strange road, looking at the street signs, how many of you notice yourself turning down the radio while looking?

concentrating on directions and listening to music seem to be processed in the same part of the brain too.
