why does everyone say it all depends on the tune? if u run 7psi on a stock single cam why do u need bigger injectors? dont jump all up on me, this is just the one thing im kind of stuck on. i can see why fo bigger stups n shit bu not for say 7psi?

because stock injectors will not support even 7 psi and therefore you will need larger injectors. once you install the larger injectors, a tune then becomes a must.

and when you put in larger injectors then you need a 255lph feul pump too. ok..... YOU ARE FORCING MORE AIR IN YOU ENGINE SO YOU NEED MORE FEUL OR YOU WILL LEAN OUT AND BURN UP RINGS AND MAYBE MORE. JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE LARGER INJECTORS JUST MEANS THEY CAN DELIVER MORE FEUL SO YOU HAVE TO GET MORE FEUL TO THE INJECTORS SO THE INJECTORS CAN GET MORE FEUL TO YOUR ENGINE. THATS WHERE A GOOD TUNE COMES IN..... +AIR=+FEUL=+POWER. THE STYOCK ECU IS PROGRAMED TO RUN EVERYTHING STOCK. BUT YOUR NOT RUNNING STOCK ANYMORE......SO YOU NEED A GOOD TUNE. HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE....

psi is meaningless

stock fuel pump supports 220 whp. no need to upgrade under that power level.

stock injectors are 240cc.
200hp eclipse's come with 450's. that should tell you something right away. the stock honda injectors are nearly peaked out form the factory. plus when you boost, you run richer than in an all motor set up, thus requiring more fuel per power to keep it on the rich burn side.

DSM bluetop 450s can be had for $80-100, and will support about 250whp-ish which is all a stock D is comfortable with.

Ok I am in good with the guy who owns the local import shop and he was a service tech for many year with honda and has built many hondas. I talked with him when turboing my old honda. He said larger injectors at 7 lbs with is not needed.

As far as the eclipses go they have more displacement than a d series honda.

He said larger injectors at 7 lbs with is not needed.

he's an idiot, or he runs FMU's and he's an idiot for doing that.

if you chose to believe him over us who have boosted cars and run one of the largest honda sites on the internet, it's your motor to blow.

no need to call names here. just stating what i have been told, never said whether it was true or not.

and yes i did use a FMU because i didnt have the money for anything else at the time. not the best choice but it did work and i never ran lean on stock injector and stock pump.

when you upgrade to bigger injectors, should you get your car tuned or can you just leave it how it is?

I didn't mean when you boost. I meant just in general if you upgrade to bigger injectors if you have to get it tuned for those injectors
