Hey guys, I'm sorry if this is a repost, and I'm sure it is. But I've searched, and searched, and I can't find anything.

Anyway, I just pulled the motor from my wrecked 2000 gsr (obd2b b18c1), and I've just recently bought a 1994 Integra ls, which is obd1.

I thought that I was going to be able to use the obd2 ECU from my gsr in the obd1 LS, But my friends were saying that it would cause CEL problems, and I would have to rewire to much stuff.

So now my gsr motor is just sitting there because I don't know what to do. I'm not sure which wiring harnesses I will need, and I'm not sure what ECU to use. I've searched rywire.com for subharnesses, but still I don't know which ones I will need. Could someone please provide me with info and links, to lead me in the right direction?

Again I'm sorry for the repost, and I appreciate the help.

Stephen

dude make sure you get a new obd1 intake manifold otherwise youll get shitty idle due do unwired secondary butterflies. I just experienced all of this myself, youll need an obd1 intake manifold an obd1 vtec distributor an obd1 p72 ecu and obd1 injectors. To wire the vtec youll need to find a vtec harness other wise the main engine harness is plug and play

I'd like to piggyback on this thread to get some info and give you some possible info. I am currently doing the same thing. I have a 95 LS ODB-I and I bought a 96 GSR ODB-II but I have the shell as well. So I have all of the wiring harnesses and ECU from the 96.

My question is .. how much is involved with removing the ECU and wiring harness in the 96? Things to look for?? Is that the best approach rather than using the 95 harness and adding wires?

Thanks,

Mike aka RoadRash

I would recommend converting the 96 engine to OBD1. You'll have a lot more tuning options that way...

Been looking into phearable .. I have the ODB1 harness and LS ECU in the car. Would I be able to send the LS ODB1 ECU to phearable and have it chipped for the GSR motor or do I need a GSR computer (ODB1)? To run the GSR ODB2 engine as ODB1, would I need a new distributor? What else is involved?

Need some help. I started pulling the ODB2 harness out of the 96 gsr and I thought it would separate at the fender but all of the wires seem to be intertwined. Does the entire wiring harness that runs to the front of the car and under the dash have to be pulled? What is the easiest way to get the odb2 b18c1 engine and ecu running in a 95 LS?
