I did a swap on my 90 hatch. I put in the SI engine and got everything all wired up and ready to go but I have a question. I know I dont need the Fast Idle Control Valve hooked up on the car, but it gets pretty cold here in the winters(below -40F) so I dont know if im going to need this hooked up or not.

well it will definitely kick on at temps that low so it might be a good idea to hook it up. without it i'm not sure if it would cause much trouble or not though.

to hook it up, just plug the connector that went to the Tandem Control Valve (which is normally left unconnected on the DPFI to MPFI) on the DX engine harness into the FICV - the Tandem Valve connector is white with 2 wires which are orange and black/yellow - the black/yellow is power and the orange in the DX harness goes to the same ECU pin as the blue for the FICV in the Si - plug it in and it will work without doing anything else

here are the ECU pinouts for the 'B' connector - you can see that pin B2 on the DPFI is the Tandem Valve and on the MPFI, it is the FICV

I took the pin out of B2's spot to use it for another wire. I will have to fins another pin to use for this. Also I think I used the Black/yellow wires for the fuel injectors, is this the same wire?

fuel injector wires should be yellow with black stripe, not black with yellow stripe - for power to the FICV, you can just splice into the black with yellow stripe wire that goes to the EACV (green connector)
