i need help. like other posts im wondering what to do with my 94 sol si, a recent thought has been to sell all the bs ive bought and get an s2000, i mean the motor/tranny (b18c lsd 32000 miles) is still sitting in my garage and ive got all kinds of other shit body kit, sk2 intake mani. turbo for d16, nice nice nice bronze 15' 5 spokes. kyb shocks, neuspeed race springs (already on) and the car dosent looka all too bad rite now. and its got a stock d16z6v-tec w/ greddy intake mani custom exhaust nice silver 5 spokes. ugh, i dont know what to do!! what do you think?

If S2000 is practical for your life style and weather conditions that seems to be a good option, otherwise i would consider a more practical car for every day driving.

an s2k is the exact opposite of a del sol. in all the better ways. rwd, more power, newer, blah blah blah.

having a project car for your only vehicle is never a great idea. i found out a long time ago that a nice reliable dd (even if it doesnt look cool or nice) is so worth it. if you shop around you could pick up something reliable for 2-3k, and keep you del sol project.

on the other hand a nice low mileage stock S2000 will be a lot fun.

i have a dd, chevy tahoe. oh and thanks for calling my car ugly, fuuuuuck you. and thats the good thing about a 2 seater, your never chosen to be the DD. and ive had a mini truck. baby blue 98 ford ranger slamed on cobras. ive already put so much work into the sol. brake master cylinder and calipers custom exhaust lowerd it. i have paint sprayers and a compressor and paint sitting at the house. ahhh! i dont know. maby its to much desert mountian sun getting to me.

paint the car and sell it. you will get more for it. sell the engine, turbo kit, rims, separate. you'll get more for it. should be upwards of $7000 total. good start to an s2k and turbo kit.

everytime i think about giving up and selling the mirage (always for sale, for the right price!) i realize that my mirage, even the POS it is, was built with alot of TLC (curse words, thrown wrenches, and busted knuckles) and according to mirageforums is one of the top 20 in the world.

to me that is huge. the locals dont seem to share the same opinion, which i am completely OK with.

ah, then again, everyone and their mother builds a honda... why dont you come over to the light side? for the price of your built GSR you can have a mirage, AWD, pushing 300whp no problem.

Go drive an S-2000 first. Keep this in your head the entire time: "I will be driving this car through pot holes, traffic jams, stop signs, yield signs, and doing the speed limit at least 90% of the time." On your drive, drive it like you would a daily driver.. Start, stop, do the speed limit, note the RPMs in city driving.. And realize that the rpm range that you can use without breaking the law is putting the engine right at 60hp.

You can't use an S2000 on the street the way it was designed to be used without breaking the law. period. Kinda crappy. Now, if you are going to be doing lots of track days, then have at it!
