pleasedo not buy that. its def not worth 950.... u still need more stuf for it also, and u dont really knowif theres shaft play.. if u pay 950 and the turbo has a whole lot of play your fucked. bad idea in my opion

thats what i was thinking could you find how me a good kit.please and should i rebuild my engine as it has over 200k.i think i should.

Turbo'ing a 200k motor can be done... but its probably a good idea to rebuild it. It really all depends on how it was treated it's whole life. I personally wouldn't do it.

I understand you're 18 and you have that bite for power... but you also need a car to get to school/work/etc. You will have a lot of downtime during the rebuilding processes, turboing process, and tuning process.

I know it goes against everything this site stands for, but i wouldn't recommend you doing it. save the couple thousand it's going to cost you for a turbo set up for a new car. your car won't last you forever :)

i agree on that unless you got alot of money floating around and hours upon hours its best to leave it unboosted..... more power = more problems and more money if you don't know have to do the work yourself

yea thats sounds like what im goin to end up doing.do you think a swap is a better idea?

absolutely. if the body/chassis is in good shape, swapping in an h22 is likely the smarter idea. It will still take some time and money, but in the long run, you'll have a newer motor in the car that will be as relabile as stock more or less.

if the body is toast, i don't recommend dumping a dime in the thing as you'll never see it back again.

no the bodys in pretty good shape.theres little rust and the the roofs fading a little but nothing major.i found a h22 for 1k it had 51k on it also came with a auto lsd tranny and the ecu.what else is needed for he swap beside mounts?

I don't think you need mounts, use your stock ones.

You'll need to do some minor wiring and I think thats about it.

wait.......... your cars automatic? and if ui wanna buy a swap do not buy one from ebay buy it from hmotorsonline or some reputable site

yea my cars an auto is that a problem?and ill deff check out hmotorsonline.also i wondering what other swaps would be worth it?

i have wondered what a boosted honda w/manual trannt would be like........ thought about it for the ol'lady...... well really for me,when i use the ol'ladies car....lol

lol i really just wanna turbo the f22 but thats prolly going to come later down the road.plus my cars got over 200k mile on it,so a swap is a better choice right now.

you can buy just the motor.. and every thing should mount up the same...... jdm h22a is the brightest idea for you. the most power for your penny with reliability too..
also nothing is wrong with ebay motors just check your feed back on ppl my buddy bought a type R and it runs like a champ
he got it from J HOT IMPORT they are in denton, TX ... I drove by there to check it out (i live in utah)and they seem like a very legit buissness
check there site and you can find it cheaper on ebay prob. JHOT Imports

thanks for all your help man.im deff.goin to be something with the car soon.also should i swap a h22 or h23 trans or jus use the f22?

i got a h22 from jhot also. cheap as shit. came in the nicest cardboard box ive ever seen a motor come in. freakin box was like 1 inch thick, i put a little cardboard roof on it and cut a door and window in it for my daughter to play in when im in the shop. o yea the motor was good too.

h22 will have shorter gears than the f22 if you plan to drive and get good gas mileage go wit the f22 if you want it .......but thats only if you get the h22 wit a trans then you got a choice if you don't f22 will be fine
