ok im only able to spend $2k on my first car. what do you guys suggest for me to get? i do not want any trucks or vans just a coupe or a hatchback
 
save another $1000 and get a b16 eg. too bad you missed out, 99sidude just sold his gsr eg for $3000.
 
There was a b16 eg hatch around me that was going for 2 grand. Just keep an eye out. Hell, or just get a d series eg save up and do your own swap.
 
youve been all over the ppl with crx's so why not get a crx??
i got my first one for $500 just a shell,put another 5-600 and had an ls swapped crx..
you can def. find one for less than 2k.
 
yeah but ive been eyeing on the ek3 and the ek6 they look sexy to me :). but i just want a honda/any car that i can mod. for drift/drag strip for less than $2k to start with.

you have the biggest ricer mentality i've seen in quite a while. you probably wont take the advice of anybody on here. buh bye
 
Go pick up a copy of Need for Speed Pro Street, its only like $20. You can drift/drag all you want.
 
lol that game is whack. but yeah i dont want to wait another few months to get a car im already in that stage where after i get my license im going to buy my first car the next day or that same day no doubt

91-94 Sentra SE-R
Twin cam 2 litre (SR20DE), 140hp, OEM LSD, OEM rear disc, big sway bars, comfy seats, lots of aftermarket support (have 4x100 bolt patterns so all the Rotas you want are available)

Only major thing to look out for is to make sure it doesn't pop out of 5th gear, it was a problem with those cars and even if you got one and it developed it the trans can be swapped out of a 200sx/G20 (they didn't have the issue)

stock for stock, they're faster than EG Si's, and on par w/EK Si's and EP3's




plus it wont get stolen at the mall
 
i know that. civic for me is only for dragstrips and all that IMO. but nissan for me like the 240, s13, s14, and the 350 are drift cars
 
dude i got my 1997 200sx se-r for under 3k. if you want to get something a lil bit newer than the 91-94's then you should at least check them out.
 
yeah i might. but i really want a honda. since i cant pick the car i want i guess im just going to have to put up with what i will be getting. hopefully ill get something pretty good for me to drive around and hopefully later on ill be able to sell it and buy a 5speed crx or 5speed 240 which ever one i find :D
 
my mom wants to buy me an automatic because she said manual cars are bad in winter seasons
 
wow, she must really suck at working the clutch. as long as you use the clutch right, you shouldn't have to worry about all that. where do you live anyways where winter is bad?
