Extended warranty, two way shipping + packaging and a very fast turn around. So really, it was not really a huge deal.
You also have to take into account that the lifetime 360 sales are much higher than the PS3. I don't consider the Wii to be on the same playing field, it's processing capability is much lower and it isn't capable of high-def, much lower probability of failure in less complicated systems. The fact of the matter is that Microsoft could have engineered the hardware better, but in the end the system would have debuted at a higher price, like the PS3 did.
I went through 2 until I got an 360. Of course, the first one took a fall from about five feet onto one foot, mine.PS2: 100%
Seriously, they just die. I'm on my 5th one.

I bought my PS2 in 1998 and it still works. lol
Too bad it came out in 2000. ^^/
I have pretty much everything from Atari 2600/Intellevision to PS3 (minus X360.. havn't had the extra to plunk down on one of those pos yet). Only one PSX broke. Had to do the upside down trick.. cheap drives. Even my Sega CD and Turbografix 16/PC Engine still play the discs well... though I can't say thay have had even close to the play time as the PSX/PS2.
