Went to Mexico beach this weekened and watched mrs. taco and our good friend John do their first triathalon. The weather sucked balls. It was rainy, cold as hell and of course windy, but that didnt stop me nor our family and friends from coming out and standing in the rain until they all crosssed the finish line.

She completed it in 1hr and 49min. and came in around 125 out of 350+.

Congrats! I'm just getting into this kind of sport right now.

Was that a sprint triathlon?

yeah it was. I was planning on doing the duo-athalon with the running and biking but got to caught up on work and got lazy.

i really do want to train and join mrs taco on the next one. we'll see.;)

Nice job, I just did my first 5K since highschool and it got me thinking about doing a tri

Me too. I decided to stop lifting and focus completely on cardio. About an hour a day at the moment. A tri seems like the logical thing to do. I want to do an Olympic by the end of next summer.

Congrats Mrs. Taco.

woohoo! congrats.

was this a charity event or something? Maybe i'm just being retarded, but there looks to be a lot of people in the background whom look in about as good as shape as a cheeseburger... lol not you're average crowd for a tri at least from what i've seen.

Either way, just finishing something like this is a feat in itself. placing in the top 1/3rd the first time out is a huge success in my book!

nice! My girlfriend does Triathlons as well. She just did one Saturday 1h 31minutes Bike- Swim -Run. That shit is nuts. She has has another one this Saturday as well.

it was fun to see.

B: there was one guy and girl out there that had to weigh 250+ but he finished the swim part...not last which was impressive. I dont think he did the biking part since i didnt see him cross but he might have done the running duathalon.

i think only 2 people quict that we saw and they were older. there people in their late 50's early 60's out there crossing the finkish line before my buddy john.

it all in the training and endurance.

Thanks guys. It was a lot of fun. All kinds of people were out there, but they were all cool. I think this was a good one for me to start with b/c there weren't a lot of crazy hammerheads out there running me over. Now that I know I can do it- its time to get competitive (faster!) Redhills is next!!!
