i swapped my 92 lx and get get it running right. used a motor out of a 96 acura and ecu from 96 accord ex. got a rywire custom harness and the obd2 jumper harness. the car runs great except from 1300rpm to 2000rpm, seems like the timing is off but why? what can i do to fix this? it has been at 3 shops for over 2 years. im in pittsburgh pa and will drive any resonable amount for help.any input would be great

email is onesikacr@verizon.net if you wanna email

anyone have any oppinions on this....

Yeah you shoulda kept the F22, without vtec they can make more power than the vtec F22b. As to your problem, i really am not sure. Why didnt you keep the obd1 harness and distributor though. You could have used that and then ran you vtec wires from the engine to ecu. Sounds like you did some uneeded work.

my motor was killed got this one with tranny, with only 13,000 miles couldnt pass it up. i never swapped a car before, talked to Rywire and they said to make the 2 harness's into 1 . to late use the stock harness now. i tried though before i sent it out and plugs were short among other things

i did a TON of useless work. had the car 3 months started the swap, in july of 07!! it hasnt ran right since thousands of dollars on parts , shops , and labor not to mention the 1000 phone calls about the car. i need it running it was supposed to be my beater not my project car...

what do you mean it doesn't run good? is it misfiring, or just slow.

fyi... my accord doesn't hardly have any power down that low... i can feel a big jump at around 2000rpm

it is cutting out and bucking. not slow, past 2000rpm and it runs smooth to redline, it is misfiring from one thing or another, not plugs wires ect...

tried to adjust the timing but there is no movement on the cap. changed the TPS ensor again didnt help. changed the MAF sensor didnt help, i give up!! 13,000 miles on motor and tranny new suspension and paint $1000.00 OBO
