Just lowered my CRX on eBays and stock struts.

And its WAYYYYYY too bouncy. It handles better but I can't bear the bounce.

I'd like to go adjustable, so what do you think? Function & Form? Skunk2? I heard Skunk2 is too stiff for dd, so I'm leaning to F&F. I only want to spend about $700, and the F&F come right in there.

Function & Form Type I Coilovers 89-91 Civic/ CRX [EF]

It bounces because your shocks can't handle the spring rate, I had similar stuff on my old EF and it wasn't bouncy with tokico illuminas on stiff

I'm maybe thinking of going Koni and Ground Control. Only problem is Konis are too expensive for me, shipping is a extra $200.

Any other struts that would go well with the Ground Controls? KYB AGXs because they're adjustable? Or how about illuminas for the same reason.

i have kyb agx's with sleeve style coilovers (VIS spec v) lowered 2.5" and the ride is good as long as you keep the rear shocks soft. it handles pretty nice and the adjustability is good at the drag strip too. i have always liked the agxs, i had them on one of my old DAs for many years and that thing handled amazing.

All prices are shipped.

Skunk2 Pro S (Non adjustable, but ride height is.) = $810

F&F (Non adjustable, but ride height is.) = $630-700

Ground Control & KYB AGX = $736

Ground Control & Tokico Illumina = $733

Ground Control & Koni = $903

I think its down to Ground Control & KYB AGX or Ground Control & Tokico Illumina.

if 700 is your budget, i would say put aside a few extra bucks for a full coilover. I used to have Tanabe Sustec and i'd buy them again in a heartbeat, and their only around 900

Idk, GC and Illumina is sounding good right now.

I mean, it doesn't have to handle amazing. I don't really know how low I want to go, I may get different wheels or something, or 1.25" might not look dope. LOL

Hey I just installed the Function Form type 1's on my hatch. The fitment and quality is awesome. The ride quality is great too. There is no bouncing, it handles great now. It out performs my old setup for both ride quality and performance. That old setup was Eibach Pro Kit springs on Eibach dampers.

I need to get around to updating my build thread (Colin's EK Hatch). I'll post pictures I took during the install.

I thought they looked pretty good, its just that no one had a review on them.

I also just got a shipping quote for the F&Fs, total is $760, then convert to Canadian doll hairs. And they're not adjustable like the Illuminas or AGXs.

the 1st time..and then you will get agrrivated with how hard or how much of a pain in the ass it is and you will say fuck it..

all depends on which ones you get. the fronts on the tanabe's were easy and fast, the rears were a lil more of a pain, but all 4 took all of 1 minute. Maybe it was just cuz i was autocrossing alot then that it wasnt that big of a deal

I just read they're adjustable from the lower mount so shock travel isn't changed, a bonus. Also all of the reviews I read said the only complaint was no instructions, I would chuck them anyway. ;) They sound like a wise decision right now, I'll probably get some, or whatever I choose, after winter.
