did you check to make sure there is only one o-ring on the filter?
sometimes the oil filter "gasket/oring" will get stuck to the block, then you put a new filter on with the new gasket, then 2 gaskets = leakage from hell...
check it out

you sure its not the oil pressure sending unit or something above the oil filter?

about oil leak

Hey there, I currently have the same problem.
I had a small oil leak and was burning a little bit of oil on the exhaust probably about like yours.
I changed the oil and everything and it is still leaking. I've got your solution, trust me.
Now, go ahead and change your oil yourself. When taking off the oil filter check to make sure there is not and extra o-ring from a previous oil filter tht was on it. Im almost 99% positive that is wht mine and yours is doing and if not sorry.
Have a good one bud.

Could it be that the oil pressure sender may be bad/cracked and leaking down on the filter area? Pull the bootie off to check next time you pull the filter.
I've even seen the O-ring or gasket bind on the block and make a slight ripple or start climbing on itself, when peeps tighten it too tight causing a leak too.

Just my .02 E

Late to the party huh?

I don't think "GOOD INFO" has an expiration date..
Maybe that's why sites have an archive from years and years past.

"there will ALWAYS be NEW-B's" that's what keeps an industry going strong.
