D16y8 intake manifold with B18b throttle body = 12 hp?

I read an article in Super Street about cheap horsepower for Honda's. They say you can bolt a D16y8 intake manifold to other D series heads and that you can bolt any B series throttle body on a port matched D series and the combo should be good for about 12 hp.
Well, I have a B series throttle body and picked up a D16y8 intake manifold, pretty cheap.
If anyone has done this or a similar swap, I have some questions and could really use some info.

- My car is a '93 D15, with an automatic transmission, and NO cruise control (it was cheap).
- The throttle body is from a '95 B18b, with an automatic transmission and cruise control.
- The D16y8 intake manifold is from a pre '99, with a manual transmission and cruise control.

Do I use a throttle body gasket for an automatic, or manual?

Will I have any IACV problems?

Am I supposed yo use the D series throttle cable rotor?

Is there anything on either part that i have to change, since I don't have cruise control?

Any help with this, or any other things I should know about this swap, would be greatly appreciated.

Didnt you just post this on D series? No magical 12hp form a throttle body/intake manifold swap, not a stock one anyways.

I know that 12 hp seems a lil much, but any hp is good, isn't it?

ok you will have to use an auto y8 manifold because the standard is too much of a bitch to modify..
yes you gain hp by using the y8 I.M,,it is the type-r of the dseries..
yes you gain hp by using the bigger Bseries TB,,no its not 12hp like mentioned..but hey you already have everything so why not just use it..i think you have to rig something up and use your original cable..also doesnt matter what the TB gasket is for as long as you get the bseries and port match

Well, the manual IM and auto TB is what I have. No money to buy more.This is my DD and has to be reliable and pass emissions.
So, what mods will I have to make to either?
I'm not scared of a lil work, just don't know what needs to be done.

Excuse me RETARDnight, but I have been searching, this and every other forum that I can find, for this info. I have been working on cars for over 23 years and am not a retard.
I bet you can't find anything DETAILED about using a TB from a Bseries WITH AN AUTOMATIC on an IM from a Dseries with a MANUAL!
Notice I said DETAILED.
I can find bits and pieces of info and know there are mods, I will have to make, but can not find enough DETAILS to be sure of EVERYTHING that is involved.

BTW, any time you can hitch a ride on a moose, down to Atlanta, we can meet up, in person and have a lil "IQ TEST" face to face, if you're as brave as you are insulting. I've stated that I know it will take work. I'm just not sure what it takes to use the automatic TB on the manual IM. That's what I've researched and can't find. CAN YOU? I bet not.
Of course a bigger TG will see gains. Why else do you think I'm using it? And YES, I know I'll have to port match the IM to the opening in the TB.
