*Cliffnotes ver.* You may get bored it's not so much a story but a rant, read at your on discretion. Pretty much a cop asking me weird questions.

Okay so I just happened to be pulled over today and what proceeded was kinda weird.
I live on an acreage outside of any bigger city in my province (Canada). I was headed to another smaller town to meet a buddy of mine. As I pull in to the main street a cop went by and I gave him a wave. So he whips a u-turn as he passes me, puts on his lights and well pulls me over. By the time he walks up to my vehicle I already have my licence and registration, trying to figure out why he pulled me over, was it the wave? So he comes up to me and this is what follows:

Cop: "Licence and registration please..."
Me: "Can i ask what i was pulled over for sir?"
Cop: "We got an anyomous complaint about a reckless driver on the highway, you seem to match the description"
Me": (Well i know it wasn't me and at the time I was driving a black dodge truck, there's like a billion where live) anways i proceed to say "okay..."
Cop: "Have you been drinking sir?"
Me: "No sure haven't, I don't drink sir (It's the middle of the day)
Cop: "Do you do drugs?"
Me: "No I'm not into that kinda stuff"

So he asks me to step out and come to his car, I was kind've confused but did what he said. In his car he starts asking me why I'm here (small town) I explain I just came from the city and I'm out here to visit some friends. He asks me how far I live (hour away) and then proceeds to start asking me about my drug history and if I can give him any leads to where there may be some. By now I'm kinda gettin frustrated cause he's asking me all these dam questions (and for some reason is nervous). I explained to him again I'm not into that kinda stuff and NO i don't know anyone with a grow op in thier basement. Finally he lets me go and I can finally drive away after wasting half and hour of my time. I guess they must have a drug problem in that small town or something geez.

why would you wave at a cop driving by.....he probrably thought you were being a punk ass mofo...i would have too...you were asking for it imo

Yeah you punk ass son of a bitch. Don't warmly gesture at a man of law.

i sometimes wave to the city cops where i live, its a small town and you always see the same couple cops patrolling the neighborhood. and if one of them pulled me over and started asking me questions like that, i would be highly annoyed too.

He was trying so find some op... guess he was on a low haha, maybe he thought you were a friendly drug dealer and gave him the "signal" with the wave?

When i was living in the burbs i'd wave at cops when i went by. Luckily my dad was a cop so even if they did think i was being a douche when they saw my license they'd laugh and I'd be stuck for 30 minutes bull shitting. Better than being stuck for 30 minutes waiting on a ticket.

i only wave at cops when i'm on my bike.

you're a jackass to wave to a cop while driving. you would have been better off talking on the phone while drinking a 40.

:werd: you might have well flipped the cop off while holding a sign that said "I'm doing something wrong, pull me over to find out what"

unless you know the cop, dont fucking wave
hell even when i do see cops that i know, i dont wave to them

society is not polite or personable enough anymore for a simple gesture like waving to a police officer to not seem suspicious

well that's different

they think you're Al Borland

yea last time i looked at one the hater pull us over i was a passenger and my friend wasnt even speeding or acting a fool

what is this "hater" you speak of?

Well I was in a small town, thought I'd wave, my bad I guess...didn't think i'd get pulled over....society is f***** up. In the end I really didn't care cause it wasn't like I was speeding/drinking and driving/etc.

When I see a cop, sometimes I tend to slightly lift my tallest finger to scratch my forehead while looking in his general direction.

Lots nicer than the common wave.
