Hey guys I am looking to upgrade my earbuds for the upcoming snowboarding season and need some help choosing what to go with. Currently I have some cheap earbuds that came with one of my old mp3 players. They sound ok but my wife has stolen them for her trips to the gym and at work. Instead of constantly asking her for them back I thought it would make a great idea for a Christmas gift.

Here is what I am looking for:

-have to be durable and comfortable
-have to sound good
-Would like them to be less than 75.00 (limit on gift exchange)
- MUST have an in line volume control for the buds - this is a deal breaker.

So anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

-thx

I've herd nothing but great things about the creative brand ear buds. Mainly the EP series (650, 830, 510, 190, 220) all at good prices, I don't know if they have the volume controle but I'm sure atleast one of them does lol

if you are going to spend $75, i would just add a little extra and get the bose. but then again, spending that much on earbuds is a waste imho. the difference from a $20 set to a $60 will be negligible.

From what I have seen they don't have an inline volume control - unless I am wrong. Which as stated above is a deal breaker. I don't care how nice they are if I have to dig my ipod out of my inside pocket to turn them down while on the hill then I don't want them.

I like the Z-buds but do you own a set. From what I read they sound great but would like a personal opinion on them. Definately going to keep my eye on those.

buy your wife a pair of pink skull candy ear buds and take your old ones back.

I rock em!

Do the skull candy ones have in line volume control?

My wife can keep the old ones - I want a new pair of earbuds. The Christmas gift is for me and if I don't give my wife/Family a specific link or model # it is a crap shoot on what I actually may receive.

Earbuds suck, they always flop out of my ear, I rock a pair of Skull Candy Skullcrushers on the slope.

i havent tried the zbuds yet

i rock a cheep set of skullcandy inkd

no in line volume on them though

their website isnt too helpful on finding out what ones do have inline volume control
but i know some of them do have it... ive seen them... they sell them at pretty much every electronics or music store... im pretty sure mall stores like hot topic and pac sun have them too... i dont remember where i got mine... i just wanted a cheap set of ear buds and these have lasted me longer and sound as good as most of the $60+ ones that were dieing on me in a few months of use

these might be worth looking at... Asym [asym] : Skullcandy

I have Wrecking Balls. I love them. No inline volume on mine but they probably make a set with one. I wear them at the gym and they get covered in sweat. I'm sure a little cold and snow wouldn't hurt them. I can let you know about that personally after this season though.
