no its not normal so try doing the ckp trick on ecu harness that should fix your problem,if this helps rep me up plz... you should be able to find the link in the reference forums, good luck bro....
ckp trick? there is no ckp trick. it's ckf you're thinking of. seeing as how he's using a p28, which is obd1, there is no crankshaft fluctuation sensor to bypass.
sorry lol! i was zoned out and made a wierd post while fruedian slipping into another thought process lol. my bad, I have no experience with this build so I cant help.
Free bump for my zonedoutness and the right answer!
The cylinder position sensor is built into the distributor. When this sensor goes bad it starts throwing that code, you need to replace the distributor. I have seen this on many hondas, and replacing the distributor has always gotten rid of the code.
haha that was the answer i was afraid of. would it hurt to drive till i get cash together i mean im gunna park it for the winter within a month. and do u know what distributor will work or do i have to get it made again?
No, it shouldnt really hurt anything. I have had good luck buying new distributors from distributor king on ebay. They are very reasonably priced. Here is a link to the auction for the distributor you will need.
Thats the distributor you should be using. Its ghetto to cut one of the legs off of a non vtec distributor to make it work on a vtec head. I dont recommend that.
