I have to write a paper on an ethical debate for my ethics class, thus far I've been reading a book on case studies in pharmacy, as that's my major, and to no avail. I'm considering doing something like the 8th chapter describes in this book. It pertains to prescription dosage increase to lethal amounts for terminal patients. Moral of the story is I'm bored and telling you guys about it.

So legal assisted suicide?

Yeah, pretty much differentiating between killing pain and killing a person. just found an entire fucking court case on it, but now I have to read it. I'd rather grind my head against a cheese grater for half credit.

pharmacy + ethics =

"treat" vs "heal".

its more profitable to treat than to heal.

run with it

Awesome topic.

I hate ethical debates. No one ever wins. My favorite topic is scholarships and preferences for minorities. A full ride for just black students is OK, but a free book for just white students is racist.

well an ethical debate is grounded in the laws of ethics you are applying and the comparing and contrasting of those arguments applied to the topic. If you're good at what you do, it can be sold.

Very true. But only people who aren't stubborn and somewhat smart will even really hear what you are saying. Most people are stuck in their ways.

Well the problem is I need to find two people that have a point counterpoint argument. And I need 2 sources.

Maybe you can debate why the hypocratic oath has changed over the centuries to accept abortion among other items.
I googled it a while back and was taken back on how many times it changed for more 'liberal' stance.

If you go with B's treat vs. Heal idea, I can point you to some chronic pain managment support groups, doctors, patients, and you could probably find good sources for both there.
