This is why in germany they won't ticket you for not wearing your motorcycle gear. They just let you go knowing you're gonna be skin-less.

Gear is a great thing to have, and it will save your skin, and maybe an elbow or a knee fracture. But if he were to hit something, anything, he would have been a bag of mush. It doesn't undo stupidity.
